Fished Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and had some great days on the water with some very good fishermen …

On Monday August 17th I hosted a charter with Lyndon L. and his sons, twelve year old Alec, and 10 year old Jackson. The trio competently boated over 20 northern pike and bass, of both smallmouth and largemouth varieties. I’ve included a couple pictures of some nice bass that the boys brought in. The largemouth was caught on a spinner bait and Jackson’s smallie was caught drifting a Fat Albert with a light jighead…

On Tuesday August 18th a record was broken by a couple young clients from Massachusetts named Sam and Isaac S.. It’s always a pleasure to fish with very experienced anglers who come well prepared and can handle themselves without a lot of guidance. Over the course of 6 hours we managed to land 27 northern pike and 14 bass on spinner baits, jigs and dead-sticking flukes! Here are two nice photos of Sam and Isaac with a couple decent pike…

On Wednesday August 19th I guided Jim W. from Westport in his boat around some hotspots on the northern end of Lake Champlain. Jim did a great job landing numerous largemouth and smallmouth bass on jigs, tubes and Carolina rigged brush hogs in deep water. He also put several nice pike in the boat. Here are a few pictures of Jim’s trophies for the day, including one smallie just over 4 pounds.

The warm-water fishing is hot indeed!
