 5/9 Charter Report
« Thread Started on May 9, 2009, 6:22pm »

Had a multi-species charter today with Jason and Isabelle from Ontario. They did very well in spite of the rainy weather. We put four nice lakers in the boat off Plattsburgh and then headed off to the Vermont side for some bass and pike fishing. Our guests boated 10 northerns, two smallies and a largemouth. Pink X Raps were hot today on the warm-water fish! We even quit a little early with the pouring rain to do an assistance tow for another distressed boater. Jason slayed the pike but the best fish of the day was Isabelles 10 pound 13 ounce laker...

Isabelle also took the bass prize with the biggest smallie weighing 3 pounds 8 ounces...

I also wanted to mention my son Marshall's recent brown trout caught off the Snug Harbor Marina docks near the Salmon River just south of Plattsburgh. It was quickly released and not weighed, but appeared to be around 3 pounds. Nice fish boy! ...

Mick,
Another nice outing with a nice mix of species. Thanks for the look.
Is Marshall sporting a St. Lawrence University T shirt? Curious, as I'm a not so recent graduate of SLU.

Hey Bob,

Yes, that's a St Lawrence Tee, my daughter is a freshman there. High jump, long and triple on the track team. Canton's a great town. Remember the Hoot Owl?
