Charter 6/13 Lakers, Nice Salmon w/pics « Thread Started on Jun 14, 2009, 7:14am »
Did a charter yesterday with Mike and Chris from New Hampshire. We landed 12 lake trout dragging trolls on the bottom at 50-70 feet. Surface temps reached 60 by mid day. We landed four fish that were over 9 pounds including this fish that was just shy of 11 pounds...
We headed off to Mallett's Bay for a while and Mike landed a dandy salmon near Marble Island that pushed the scales to 3 pounds 6 ounces. He caught it on a spoon that he brought with him, one that he always runs on Lake Winnie. It was a dark glossy gray spoon with red spots. Not sure of the brand, but he left one in my boat along with two others and a few home made streamers. Thanks Mike! Here's that salmon...
Quiet week ahead, maybe I'll go fishing and reel in a few with my son Marshall! Just one more bass and pike outing scheduled for Friday before the LCI. Good luck to all in the tournament!!
