Did a few warmwater charters early this week for bass, pike, bowfin and whatever else we could drag in. We're pounding pike and both species of bass on the New York and Vermont sides of the lake. Strike King spinner baits with brass blades and red skirts are hot for pike these days. They are also attracting the occasional bowfin. We're getting some very nice bass on topwater baits, flukes and senkos. The dropshot rig with a small black finesse worm is also working well. One angler, Geoffrey from NJ, landed a number of pike, bass and a dandy bowfin on the 12th, Dave and his dad Don put a good group of bass and pike together on the 14th, and Bob from PA boated 17 nice bass on the 15th. I have highlighted a few of the more memorable fish pictures from these trips here...
