my friend Pete and i headed to the salmon river Friday morning in search of the big steelhead we managed to land 6 steelhead, 3 kings and a co-ho. we were using fly tackle and all the steals came on pink flies. he are some pic of our catch

and a big thanks to CF for the tip on pulling to the side wich helped me land my last fish and if i would have remembered it sooner i might have landed one more. all in all it was a great trip even though i missed the shoot out.

Sweet, glad the advice helped out - makes me feel good to know that I was able to help out on your great day. I have a messed up knee right now that has kept me out of the waders and away from the Salmon River - it truely is one of the best steelie rivers in the country. To hear about your good luck and that a tip from me helped is as good as getting some myself.

Nice looking fish. I think the first one and the last one are skamainia steel, they both have adipose fin clips and are skinny, like they are spawnouts and been in the river awhile.
