There are a bunch of good aluminum boats out there in addition to Lund. Lund is excellent but can be pricey. CR Marine in Schenectady has Mirror Craft which is a good boat. Can't go wrong with Alumacraft, Starcraft, and some others also. CR has some of the best mechanics in the area also. It's where I have my Merc serviced. Also, there is a boat show in Queensbury in a few weeks that will have all the boats around displayed in one place. Good luck with your search. www.crsmarine.com/new_vehicle_inventory.aspwww.greatupstateboatshow.com/gubs_2012_map.html

Not sure what year the Targa is, but I only have the 16 Deep V and my hull's warranty is lifetime. It's a 2011.

I bought a trophy from that dealer in amsterdam in 99 and their customer service is terrible. Plus, they never cleaved the tie wrap pieces out of the bilge and the first outing i lost the bilge pump.
There are much better boats out there for the money than tracker. In this economy you can get a great deal on a slightly used boat

I own a 2008 tracker targa with more tha 900 hours on it. No leak, no problem. The hull has a lifetime warranty on it. Don't forget tracker is the best selling boat in the US....more sale, more problem too.

I own an 04 Tracker ProGuide V16, double hull all welded. Never had an issue with leaks or anything, heavy use. Sweet little boat and handles the waves like a champ.

When I had my Pro Team 185 I was really rough on it. No weather EVER kept me off the water. One of the rivets sprung a leak and they fixed with no questions asked. One of the reasons I bought a Nitro a few years ago.

I'm not sure what the issue was with the law suit but I can say that I have a 2005 Targa 17 that I bought new and I've been extremely happy with it. The boat has been perfect for me for both warmwater and coldwater species. I've been very happy with it and would be surprised if Tracker had that bad of a reputation. They may not be quite on par with Lund but I feel I was able to afford much more with the Tracker than I could have with a Lund. I've been out on some pretty big water on Champlain and no problems.

I bought a new Nitro and had to have some warranty work done boat was gone from mid January until first part of September!! They did not fix the problem it was sent back for but managed to kink the motor controls and chip the jell coat on the transom. The warranty expired while they had it and they were not going to fix it because the warranty had expired. Long story short lawyers- fixed- sold! Tracker- Nitro will never get my business again. It was a great boat until it needed work and then the warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. Good luck Ramel

Heard a lot of nightmares with Nitro boats AND trailers. Not everyone gets the attention KVD does.
