got out about 12:30 with a good friend and his 8yo son ran over to Cedar, set up and headed north figuring that if we didn't get hooked up by the time we hit the North end of Savage we could anchor near Razzle dazzle and fish some Perch with Gerry and crew. Got a call from Thorny and told him that I had a a boy with me that had never caught a fish on Champlain before and he told me what and where was working for him in hops that we could get the boy on some fish (THANKS THORNY!!!). got to the cow banks and went toward Kibbie Point and the first rod popped right off, well we lost that one and the next one also and then we got a nice 18" salmon in the boat, lost 2 more, we were picking up in front of the launch and one hit a Honey Bee that I had pulled off the release and was letting it flutter up got that one in the boat and had a kid with a smile 5 miles wide. so it was a great day and even better his father had to eat some crow that he didn't catch any thing Josh and his first Salmon here's the 2 that produced the Stinger is nascar and a pink and purple Honey bee both 25ft back and down50 speed was 2.5on the gps

Cool Kevin! Great to see the young people get hooked on fishing. I was at our town pool Saturday and Sunday the little ones and their Mom.

thanks guys, it was very cool to have Josh and his father fishing with me. After yesterday I can't wait untill my grand kids get old enough to go with me. Don't get much time with my own kids now that they are grown and starting their own families.

As always, it is a real pleasure to see a young person with his/her first salmon or trout. Thank you for sharing with us!

Nice job Kevin, he is hooked now. Way to make him wait a little, tough fishing this time of year and patience pays. Jon

Great pic.
I wonder if the little guy realizes the life long addiction and the many thousands of dollars he will be spending to feed that addiction over the years.
Thanks for the pic and report. I heard you guys talking a bit on the radio as I was just getting set up.

Dragnballs, Good to see you were successful in putting the little guy onto fish. Nice meeting you at the launch. The fishing is a little slow right now, but persistence pays off!
