Good work! Looks to be a good sized female. Did she have any cubs?

She was with 2 others. I assumed they were cubs but one was twice the size of the other one. Some other people I hunt with suggested that the larger may have been a male as they are usually not as large as the females. She dressed out at 157#.

Nice looking sow, I would bet that both were cubs, hopefully they make it through the winter!

Butcher...I was on the ground next to a Hemlock about 20-25 yards away when she stopped and stared at me. Was on watch for deer and they came right out where the deer should have but they were black instead...... On a side note just got her back from the butcher. $80 to cape out and cut up. Was amazed at how little there really was. 2 loins cut in half, 2 tenderloins, 8 pkg of burger and 3 of stew meat. The rest were all in roasts, decent size though and 8 of them.... and now for the romance and ambiance.....

IF you are thinking of getting a rug done I suggest talking with Big Bear Rug Company in Montana as I had my second one done with them. My first rug was done over in mayfield and after seeing my second rug I new for what I paid for the first one was very high.
The second rug I had my taxidermist friend turn the ears& lips and I fleshed it myself as I had a lot of experience with beavers. I salted the dickens out of it and sent it by ups to montana. All in all the second one was far supperior in work. It came back with double felt and it was padded that made a world of difference on how the hair stands out on the hide. If you are going to do a rug send me a pm and you can come over and see mine as I am in queensbury.

Congrats on The Bear, but you really need a woman lying on that rug in your pictures to give us the full romance effect ;D

When I get it back tanned i will do that for you.........I don't think I could have found someone to lay on it right now, being it was wet, untanned, and still has the "freshly killed" odor to it......lol
