Out to Wilson last week five week old granddaughter in tow. ON second day of seven day trip we found the King Honey hole looked up and there was Digitroll. Instigator and Lazy C were out there too. On that day we got these doubles and two more in the 22 pound range. Cooler was full including two cohoes. Ran thirteen miles back to our port slip at Olcott and compressor on my Mercury OPtimax failed. Done fishing . At least we got these. Changed from fisherman to Tourist and enjoyed five more days of brilliant weather, flat lake we couldn't not fish on. Still a good trip. Unbeatable weather. If only the engine didn't fail. everything was ideal otherwise. Mike P Fisher Cat

Good grief...Lake O flat calm and a broken boat...what an absolute bummer. Well one good day is better than nothing. Good luck with repairs Mike.

Very jealous! Unfortunately a Lake O trip is not in the cards for this year! Champlain will have to do! Congrats on the fish!

Mike, Glad you got some fish before the Mercury Motor got you. that sucks. At least you did get some fish and time on the water. Until this year I have always owned Mercury's. And always have had issues. I will never own another Mercury motor. But there are some who swear by them. Digitroll (Ron) sells them and just upgraded his boat powered by a 150HP Mercury Outboard. He also has a smart gage, that he says allows him to troll with it. So to each his own. I am glad you still had a warranty. Once again great report and pictures. Best of luck with the repair. Capt.
