Picked the boat up from the marina Sunday morning after having the prop I destroyed cut off and replaced (ouch!). Headed out onto the lake looking for salmon. Picked up a few...lost a few ('had a double on one rod..boated a 19" on the cheater and lost a bigger one, ~21"+, at the net), then this guy hits and the reel's screamin'! 'thought the rod would snap off in the downrigger and the reel was screaming so loud I thought the bearings would go. Four tail dances across the back of the boat and about 10 minutes later, he's in the net. At 7.3lb. and 26.25", this is the biggest steelhead I've taken out of Champlain. It's great to see the fishery recovering and producing big fish again. Cutting board is 18.25"
