I'm guessing not much but that's all we can do. As usual, another law is passed with little detail available about who it applies to. Kind of like the NY UNSAFE act saying you can have more then 7 shells in your gun.... Anyway, what little I've read that's out there is that they are going to do it by age starting with the youngest boaters working up the the oldest which means by time they get to me I'll be 90.... They still have to develop the regs and implement a testing program. Keep in mind that comrade Cuomo has gutted Parks and Rec department and there is hardly anyone left to run the current programs much less develop a new one. I think that, like the SAFE act, this too will be ignored. That's my plan anyway. In my 40 plus years on Champlain, I have never once been stopped by NYS ECON or Parks officer for any reason. VT Fish and Game, yes and sometimes once a year but never in NYS Champlain waters. They are pretty active on the Hudson though but that.s near home bass.
