Does anyone know if the salmon are still biting under the bridge at the sandbar? I was up there last week and caught 3 within an hour or so but I haven't made it back up since then. I'm thinking about heading up after work a few days next week bu I don't wanna waste gas if there's no chance of catching anything!

Plenty of fish! The lake is still high and flowing north. there is lots of current and warm water coming out of the lamolile Which has brought in bait. there has been a alewife die off in the area. But more forecasted rain will once again make for a "good flow" under the bridge. Most guys are using live bait. small to medium baits on a stick bobber "little resistance" are taking Silvers. Most guys have a live bait out and cast spoons as well. Once night hits the Walleye are there for the taking. Casting medium to deep diving plugs on both sides of the causeway are best. Slow retrieve. Many snags. But the fish are there. In about a week the Eye's will be at the South Hero Fill as well as the drawbridge in Grand Isle. At around the same time carry bay and the pelots cut will also produce Eyes. This is probably more information then you were looking for? But due to our busy fishing schedule we have limited time for posts. Good Luck! Captain Tony www.anbradoncharters.com

I just may have to try that . I was catching them by casting a medium weight Mooselook wobbler in blue/silver out into the plume, slowly retrieving it and they would hit it as soon as it came out of the dirty water. I'll have to try some live bait next time I guess! Now if I could just get some more time off to go fishing...
