OK! fished next to NHfisherman? He seemed to be happy and into fish while I spend much of my time giving my breakfast back to the three foot white water!! Marked fish from 57 ft. all the way up to 10 ft.? Maybe Walleye?? No Mate so I had a hard time trolling single? I'm sure I should have anchored behind Cedar island and jigged for walleye or trolled the Georgia Shore for small mouth would have been more productive but, white caps and nausea sent me back to Apple island launch for ice cream?? I feel ya DB! Saturday was rough. I launch out of Lamoille and went out to Stave/Providence to jig lakers. Marked some fish, but couldn't draw a strike. Stiff wind and 3-4' waves, even had my dog feeling it. We toughed it out from 7:30 to 1PM...skunked. He was beginning to get whiny after a while so I knew it was time to head back...never saw a dog so happy to jump onto the dock. I should've done what you wanted to do and go out of Apple Island and head to downside of Cedar or something and just chased bass or perch. PM me when you think you'll head out for 'eyes, it's on my bucket list to get good at targeting them, still kinda new that species...would like to get an on the water tutorial if you will. I'm usually solo or sometimes have my fishing bud John with me as he's new to fishing and I'm trying my best to show him different things as I learn them for fishing Champlain. See ya soon! ~mud

What have you set up for riggers so far? Dick I don't have any downriggers yet. Still need to replace the transom this winter, so money saved for that. I have a single Okuma downrigger pole & counter reel I bought last summer while in Maine from KTP. Still need to buy another one of those pole/reel combos, maybe convert a spinning reel over to lead core, but another couple slide/dipsy divers and start investing in spoons. Downriggers and a trolling motor are on priorites after the transom overhaul. might need to rebuild or replace motor carb too. Right now have it tuned good, but the main needle works its way out, especially in rough seas and bouncing around... BOAT = Bring Out Another Thousand...

Mudchuck? Sorry , I just gave away two 8 horse Johnsons that I couldn't use. I like the Okuma linecounters but I prefer to have all Ugly Stick rods because they are indestructible and never take a bend set! When you get your stern rebuilt it looks as if you will have to mount some sort of board for the riggers. Keep me in touch as you prepare for trolling next Spring. Also , Where are you located? Dick
