Went this morning by myself for a little morning of fishing.
Caugh 3 nice lakers: 1 was 11pds. 2 were without any lamprey mark and the 11pds had one almost cure.
Try for some salmon after but without any luck.
Was fun to be on the water after all that rain.
The 3 lakers were caught bouncing the bottom with chartreuse peanut.

Nice. Glad to here two of the fish were without lamprey's. Too bad you couldn't get any salmon to cooperate. Thanks for the report.

Hey Andre, haven't ran into you at the dock again. I see that you were on a trip to Walleye land. Nice job on the lakers.
The salmon never really showed up there this year like some years past. Since I talked to you last time I did manage to get a few on. All have been good ones with 3 lbs being the smallest. Lost a giant one a couple weeks ago - it was worthy of being mounted. I got a real good look at it when it jumped.

Andre - thanks for the report. I fished around Schuyler for a few hours on Friday but my wifes bff was getting a little sea sick with the waves so we didn't spend a lot of time out. Managed one 5lb laker taken at 70ft over 130fow on the way back to the launch. Taken on inline blades in orange with a green/red hi tech 2 ft behind. Lost one other small fish behind the boat as well. 5lber had a very fresh mark on it with two old scars but still tasted very good on the fire once we got back to camp at Lake Carmi.

I went out Sunday-tried around Schuyler Island, no result. Went south of Willsboro Pt. and caught two lakers- 70 feet just off bottom. First was about 10 lbs. with 8 in lamprey-which dropped off before I could get it in the boat. The trout had several old scars as well as the fresh one. The second was about 4lbs.
