For all you guys who haven't seen one this is a picture of a Tube-N-Worm. You troll these for stripers over rocky shore lines or reefs. Any depth. You just add an egg sinker to the keel to get it down deeper. These are trolled at 2mph or less for best results. I use a 3' 50lb test floro carbon leader between the keel and tube. You just put a piece of sand worm on the hook. I have also had good luck with just plain night crawlers in the CT River. I get this set up from www.tmancustomtackle.com

Whats the clip on the front of the rig with the beads? Nice tube I like the clear red never used that before.
We used to leave our tubes on coffee cans to give them a curl, so they move threw the water like a cork screw.

That clip is a safety pin keel. You tye your line at the end. You can put up to a 2oz egg sinker between the two beads.

I've used tube and worm for bluefish on top with lead core line with good success in the cape Have to try it on the bottom as well...
Usually use a 3-4 oz jig with steel line for striper in the Cape and it seems to do the trick of from billingsgate shoal.
Colors range from red, chartreuse and white
thanks for the info
