Hello
Sunday my son, nephew and I went outside of outer mallets bay for lakers.
We fished for around 5 hours boated 8 lost 5 caught a few fish over 8 pounds. Lures used magnum honey bees and peanuts, bouncing bottom in 80 feet. we ran small blades in front of the peanuts and ran the big honey bees bare. We kept close to the ball and had verticle flashers on the ball.
Tons of pesky sailboats as well as rude pleasure boats, had a 30-40 footer come 75 feet across my bow at full throttle throwing a 4 -5 foot wake.
Thanks Phil B

thanks for the report Phil, you will have that in that area but sounds like you guys still had a very good day. it kinda makes me mad when people don't know the rules of the water not to mention just common courtesy bur it takes all kinds. Kevin

Thanks for the report Phil If you plan to fish high traffic areas like that this time of year. You are better to fish early. After 1030 it can get pretty frustrating. Nice to see that you still got fish. Thorny

I new we had a convert! Peanuts will always catch fish but since I do not make them, I don't use them!
There are three #1 bees that I use instead.
Glow in the dark with Fl. Green or Fl. Blue or Fl. Yellow tape.
Black with Chartreuse or Orange dots. (yes Black)
Brown with Chartreuse or Orange dots. (yes Brown)
Taught by the "masters" of the Finger Lakes. (Datillios should have plenty of the Black and the Brown.) They don't sell well! Shhhhh!

Thanks Tamiron for the link. I don't think I'll add those to my already heavy tackle load. No because they don't work or anything...but I've more stuff than time.
