Playing catch up here on reporting. 4.75 SM 7/09 ist day of FLW 3.75 SM 7/09 3.25 LM caught by buddy Ron 7/14 4.0 LM caught on dock 7/14 i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc340/rvqua/IMG_0078.jpg[/IMG] Caught 23 keepers. 22 LM all St. Albans Bay 7/14 No pics from 7/13 as nothing rated a pic. Caught 15 keepers off northern tip North Hero. 4 hrs quit. Too windy!!! 7/15 Rouses Point - windy as hell. supposed to be 5-10. Ha! How about 15+ all day. Although a half dozen times it went down to nothing, but always came roaring back. Took buddy Ron in my boat and met Mark, a club member, in his boat. Caught 30-35 SM between the 3 of us. Got 1 pic of a 3.5 SM & then the camera died. Finding LM & Sm in deeper water thatan a couple of weeks ago. LM 4-8' and SM 12-14'. Not saying that you can't find them elsewhere, but that is where we caught most fish. For LM key on weeds, slop & pencil grass. For SM get off the banks and find rocks &/or weeds. Shakey head worm on shakey head jig, Senkos, grub on football head jig, & tubes worked best. Bob

Nice report and super pics, Bob. I had not seen any posts from you lately and was concerned that you were not fishing.

Mike, Part of lack of posting was being very busy and part was caused by the negative trend on this forum. It seems it is ok to ask questions, make challenges and unsubstantiated allegations and not get off your ass and go get info that is readily available. Bob

Well said Bob.
Nice bunch of fish you guys caught there. I happen to especially like Ron's cap. I was thinking something along the same line for myself.
"Razzle Dazzle fish H8 me"
sort of cap
Thanks for the look.

Good stuff Bob! Thanks for the looks and post. The endless instability in the atmosphere (on my days off) has kept me from making the trip north to Champlain. Soon I hope to be back. Any fish on Money Minnows or swimbaits? I think they are the next trend.

Brian, I got discouraged fishing the swim bait and have not thrown it the last several times out. With the cost of the hooks & baits I've got a sizeable investment. Guess I should try further. I'll let you know if I figure it out. Bob

Thanks for the pictures Bob, looks like a nice day out. I agree with Gerry, Ron's hat is top notch. I put your pics up on the angler album, got some great views so far: www.flickr.com/photos/burlingtonboatyardEnjoy your weekend! Guy

I got that hat for Ron at the Expo last year. There is a guy, who has been there the last few years, who will put whatever you want on hats, shirts jackets etc. He is located in the exhibition buildings where the vendors are. Bob

Bob Good report Love the huge smallie, a chunk of a fish.
Lately I haven't got much off from swimbaits either, the only pattern on swinbaits I am able to catch anything is slow of the very bottom for smallmouth and those are 3 inch swimmmers I think the Bigger swimbaits were originally designed to catch bigger largemouth, but i have not seen or heard anything on that most bigger largemouth have come off the stickbait for me this year.
good photos, i'll remember to bring my camera when we go out and my underwater camera.
