Below is next years schedule with 3 tournaments in Alabama, two in California and the rest spread out mostly in the south. Guess northeast is no longer relevant to B.A.S.S. Can anyone say FLW? Maybe time to switch memberships. Been with BASS for close to 20 years but since ESPN took over, to much has changed and not for the better in my humble opinion.

Schodack - Wow, they sure have cut back. Nothing North, and nothing in the Florida or Texas lakes that produced huge bags in the last couple of years. You're right about ESPN, seems they only want footage for Saturday morning TV spots and apparently not so much anymore. I suggest that you read Ken Schultz's book on the Classic that was held in Pittsburgh a few years ago. He has a lot to say about the state of BASS under ESPN.

I am hoping that they will have their playoffs in the NE, but I doubt it.

The folks who own our marina really look forward to the larger pro tournaments. They sell a lot of gas and have gotten to know some of the pros over the years who used to come back year after year. So more then just the spectators will miss these events in the future. Maybe when the economy rebounds some they will be more tournaments again.

The economy is the main reason they have cut back the number of tournaments. The sponsor $ are not where they were a couple of years ago.
