Close to our home but champy is where I go now. I thought there was an engine size restriction at somerset, thanks for your continues pictures, G

Brian - great report and photos! A good time for sure. Nice selection in the arsenal and they all worked too. I like the looks of the Bagley's prop bait. Thanks for sharing...

Bassanator, No engine restriction (yet) at Somerset. Latest edict (2009) from Montpelier is 10 mph speed limit. No disturbing wake. Two seperate articles. Both posted at parking area and launch. I've been involved with keeping access open to fishermen. The "quiet waters" groups are well organized and vocal. I can live with the speed limit, a motor restriction I can not. I take care to give plenty of leeway to any paddlers. Just in case a 6 mile long reservoir isn't big enough for both of us.

thanks for info. It is indeed a relatively secret spot, atleast it used to be. There was a camping area we called Barter Town , it reminded us of MAd max, kinda kaotic when you drove through there from Stratton.

Brian, thanks for the report. There sure are some smaller gems in VT. Your wife (Linda?) was conspicuously absent from your report. I hope this wasn't a move to eliminate the competition. ;D Bob
