Decicded to go out on the lake today and fished for about 4 hrs. Went 2 for 3 on lakers on the back side of Schyuler. Set the lines and after about 20 minutes the rod with the blades fires and a 6lb laker in the boat. Re-set that rig and about another 20 minutes and it fires again, Lose the fish about 40 ft from the boat. Re-set and after about a half hour the rigger with just a spoon on it fires and I get another 8 lb laker in the boat. That would be it for the day as the bite just died. All 3 fish hit on blue/yellow/silver pattern spoons trolled a couple ft of the bottom in 110to 115ft of water. Honey bee #3 took 2 hits and an NK 28 took the other. Went for a cruise down towards split rock to show my lady friend another area of the lake. Got down there and turned the fish finder back on so she could see how deep the water was. Needless to say seeing 250 to 300 ft readings shocked her. There was also a ton of fish showing so I downsized the spoons and set back up to give the salmon a shot for about an hour. Ended up with one fat stocker in Whalons Bay on the Dastardly Debbie down 50 back 35 and that was it. What a beatiful day to be on the lake. We also checked out the osprey nest on the tower at the end of the split on the N.Y side.

Nice report CF. I've never fished the backside of Schuyler but may have to try there soon if my other spots are dead. I didn't realize the water was that deep back there. The flat b/n the island and the reef has always been good to me.
