7/24 - Fished Converse for lakers and salmon for about 1.5 hrs, 2 skippers and one missed laker. Moved out to the broad lake and targeted lakers on flats and humps 65-85 FOW, caught about 12 in 2 hours, nothing huge, topping out at about 7#'s. Bouncing bottom, vertical blades, large blue & silver spoons seemed to be the ticket.
7/30 - Went back to the broad lake again for mud chickens, caught about 7 in 2 hours with a bunch of missed fish, similar sizes, nothing huge. Large copper/purple taped mooselook w/vertical blades produced the most fish.
It's been nice to take advantage of the calm conditions out on the lake - good luck to everyone this weekend!

Sorry I missed yesterday as today is a soaker and no fun in a little exposed boat...
You done swell on the transition to the Lakers...They have been very cooperative in the last month or so...
I bet yesterday was an amazing day on the water...
Glad someone could get out...
Thanks,

Lakers can really turn a tough day or tough month into some consistently great fishing. I know they arent the most acrobatic(at all) fish but the big head shakes and the singing drag are enough to satisfy this Fish Junkie.
