Very cool, but in my opinion, very stupid. I wouldn't think it would take very long fighting a fish like that to forget to look at the weather while a fish is dragging you out to sea.
The guys got balls, unfortunately they're so big they'll weight him down to the ocean floor one day. Some of us try not to go on Champlain alone, this guy is in a kayak in the friggen ocean. I smell a Darwin award candidate.

I saw something similar to this on TV, but not as extreme, using a jet ski for saltwater fishing, the units had rod holders and even a cooler built into the rear end.

I would not call him an idiot. Crazy....Yes! Nothing wrong with that. He is a successfull thrill seeker. He is doing it responsibly, with all the required safety gear. I think its awesome!!!!
