We were fishing in missisquoi bay last week and the water was like glass. About 100 feet from the boat I noticed a long 'V' moving across the suface. At first I thought it was a muskrat but we couldn't see a head or even a nose. We tried to get closer to it with the trolling motor but it went down. About a half hour later it came back through going in the opposite direction. We think it may have been a sturgeon cruising just under the surface. I wish we could have gotten a better look at it.

What was the temp in the bay? You don't have to answer this but, did you catch any bass there yet? Thanks.

We fished a few different parts of the lake that day and if I recall correctly Missisquoi was about 60 degrees. We didn't catch anything up there. We had some Pike in the 10# range follow lures to the boat but they never bit. We were fishing for Pike not Bass but I was surprised we didn't catch at least one Bass. We were fishing out on the reef and the Bass may have moved in towards the shallow bays for the spawn.
