Any news on Salmon and Lakers between the Champlain Bridge and Westport? My Dad and I are looking to return to fish that area after struggling with finding fish in the north part of the lake. We had good luck on both sides of the Lake from the white rocks on the NY side to Rock Island on the VT side fishing spoons and plugs from 5-25ft running 2-3.5 mph a few years ago. Any new locations or patterns that might be useful?

We have had luck last couple years Westport and south to Bridge. We bounce bottom for lakers and have had better luck NY side for Salmon and have caught at @ 2 plus mph down to 30'. Have not been up this year but will be up for LCI! My Friends have place south of bridge but have not done any thing with 'eyes' for a few years and would love any info on how or where to catch them. Good Luck! 'Still Fishin'

hey walleye, the fishing aroung those white rocks and north of there a few hundred yards has been real good for salmon the last couple of weeks, last week there must of been 20 boats there during the rotory derby, salmon have been biting good, they range 17 to 20 inches for the most part, we did lose a decent size one , I will give you a shout during the lci this weekend, I will be on channel 68 aboard AUTUMLEIGH ROSE, team rock bottom, good luck this weekend, the hot colors have been copper with orange head and silver/blue, sliders have been no.1 !! I'll bet that water temp still is cold, was 59 degrees last thursday, just before that feerless storm hit!,

Hey Bil,
Thanks for the info! We've been fishing the northern part of the lake the last few years, and it's a little big at times to find the fish. That's why we thought we'd go back to the place we know best of the lake. It sounds like a good plan so far:) My Dad and I are Team Bigfoot, and you can find me by my screen name as well. We'll try and touch base this weekend during the LCI. Good luck to Team Rock Bottom!
