I was given permission from Dave Mull to copy and paste this email into this thread. I love this website and magazine.
Enjoy!
Dear Fellow GLAngler,
As we watch the holiday season disappear in the rearview mirror and the boat, fishing and outdoors show season begins, we at Great Lakes Angler Magazine want to wish you the happiest and most prosperous New Year. We recently changed servers and website companies and have an all-new design and we know that some of you met with some frustrating glitches during the re-launch. Well, we think we worked out the bugs now and invite you back to the www.GLAngler.com website.
You’re encouraged to post questions in Ask a Pro, post fishing reports and just talk about fishing. Site features such as Cook Your Catch, Let’s See Your Rig, Swap Meet and Events Calendar are still there. The site has lots of improvements too, such as:
• Really, really, really improved search tool
• Easier tool to insert pictures and video links
• Improved Private Messaging (PM) tool
• Easy-to-use advanced editor tool that is more like a word processor
• Thread subscriptions and notifications
We also have a downloadable fishing log form to record all your adventures in the coming season.
In addition, you can use the site to link to other tools such as the weather sites, Coach Watch temp maps and other valuable resources.
Each user can now have his or her own photo albums, and the site can accept pictures up to 150K in size (up from 100K). And you can attach a variety of different picture and file formats directly to your posts.
We hope you give us a look at www.GLAngler.com sometime soon. PLEASE NOTE: If this is your first visit to the new site, you’ll need to reset your password before you can login and post. You will be able to keep the same one along with your user name, but we need to have everyone re-register for security reasons.
Hope to see you online!
