can I ask why a lake ontario board is on here and not a CT river one? what does Ontario have to do with "Fishing Lake Champlain"?
I'm not flaming the forum or being a dink, at least not trying to, but I am lost as to why this is on here and not other VT oriented locations?

Lake O has alot more to do with Champlain than the CT River. Same gear, same tactics, lots of the same people fishing both...who cares about the CT River ? We'll let the anti felt sole wader crowd have it.

I think its the fact that a lot of forum members fish on Ontario also, and therefore find it of interest.I don't think its because the Connecticut river isn't worthy, only that a lot of us don't fish it,,I ,for one, would be interested in hearing about the conn. river,,anyone else?

can I ask why a lake ontario board is on here...I am lost as to why this is on here and not other VT oriented locations? Lake Champlain is not Vermont oriented. The fish don't know they are in Vermont... But the forum is "Fishing Lake Champlain" so it is Champlain oriented. The tactics are related, as are several of the species in common with Ontario. The Connecticut River is a warm water to cool water flowage, not a cold-water trolling haven like Champlain. Totally different. There really isn't other waters in Vermont that compare to the scale that Ontario and Champlain do. Is there a Connecticut River forum you could join? I have not checked... Although I have thought about it because there are good walleyes there

Just an FYI,
Quite a while ago, as the earlier members of the forum would take trips to Lake Ontario and post them in Champlain fishing reports. Over time a suggestion was made to better organize the board and give Lake Ontario its place for reports as many of us make that trek over at some time or other during the year. It is a great place to check prior to heading out on your trip and as we most all know each other gather some great information. Also it keeps the Champlain fishing reports just that.

I expected there to be a simple and intelligent reason. ;D
