bailbuster I love drifting the mouth but the charter boats are shut down from cod fishing and they have been drifting the river for stippers to make up for lost business. We did a few small drifts. It's kind of a pain to avoid a 60ft. boat thats doing the same thing, while making a good drift.
If the mouth gets to bust try Breaking Rock off Hampton. Head out the mouth and bang a left for about a mile. The lobster buoys are all pilled up out there you cant miss it. You can jig tinker macks out there and throw them on balloons while you catch some sun. Try to avoid the pollock the strippers will hit mackerel over pollock any day.
Northeren loved the fact his boat was carpeted, until I cut up 50 pounds of chum in the rain. Wow we need to take that sucker to lazer wash! ;D

We are headed back Saturday night ,I think the eel traps are in ,if not they will be tonight,so bait should not be an issue.A little rain as long as not any lightning bolts will be OK.I am off this week, I think we will be beach fishing a couple of days ,so my wife can beach it and not have to smell the bait or run the boat.BB
