Made it out there to salmon river just after noon. after dropping a c note at woody's bait shop we hit the lake. out of the shoot it looked dismal. Four footers were chopping pretty good. But we said screw it and out we went for 4miles we pounded our way out to 100ft and set up. we worked our way out to 160 and work that area for four hours with one good fish taking a rip on a chrome spinny with a glow hammer. Unfortunately it got tangle in another line and off he went. After another couple hours of nothing we picked up and headed into 90 ft and set up again. we marked a ton of bait right off down 70 and we set up the riggers just below them at 80. within minuted a rod poped and in came a 5lb king. set back up and bango the other rod fires. In came my sons biggest brown he ever got. nice ten pounder. The trick to getting these fish in was the fact that the one thing we forgot home was the net. lol . We released both fish after a couple pics. The next morning the lake was flat. set up in 80ft and started working the area. No takers when i noticed one rigger was working slow. Next time up it quite right at the top and would only go down. after some tinkering we packed it up as the kicker crapped out on us and we were down to only one rigger. We will have to put the weedwacker into the shop and get her tuned up. The fish are in around 70-100. The flee's were a pain in the ass and the biting house flies don't help either but all in all a fun trip. The next one I hope to be there longer and catch more fish. good luck buckshot

Sorry you had to leave early Ben. We picked at the fish all day today, but not as good as Friday for us. Some of the guys around us were hitting them well. 140-150 FOW 95-115feet down. The one guy was running a homemade Glow paddle with green dots around the edge he found in a floating fish last season. He boated 10 mature salmon today We were just a little snake bit today, dragging small salmon and browns around, never helps the spread fish!! Good luck with the rigger and hope to meet up sometime when your out there

your right the fleas were terrible. we got one brown we almost did not get in the fleas plugged the eyes. but we got it in. we went deeper than you and we ended up with 5 that day we saw you. sorry to hear of the problems you had, we did good on the gin and tonic spoon it sort of looked like the one your son shown me That you were getting yours on ( the dirty white boy), the gin tonic has a brighter green tape on the top. we talked to dukdog out there he was doing good and helped us with the temps, the other spoon that was hitting was the green dolphin, nice meeting you there Ben hope to see you again Bil, team rock bottom,,
