The striper fishing off the cape was hot as hell Sunday.fishing with my buddy Gary and our wifes we met captain Dale at at the dock 5am and headed out off of nauset in 30 to 40ft. of water. It didn't take but the first cast and it was fish on.. using butter fly jigs and casting out and use a quick ten turn retreive then let it sink back to the bottom proved to be deadly with most hits coming as it sank back down. With the humming bird screen lit up from bottom to top with fish we had our ten fish limit of stripers ranging from 36 to 45ins. in the boat by 6:15. we caught several others with quite a few blues as well. captain Dale helping Lorri for a kodak moment.. captain Dale again showing us how to snag um out of the air when they break the surface.. Gary and Karen with a couple keepers. a cooler full

Sounded like a ball. Just made chowda tonight out of left over grilled blue fish cooked on the grill last night that we got in October. It is sooooo good. Can't wait to get back to Montauk.

Reeldeal, do you use a charter in RI? Looking to line up a trip with my son who now lives in Providence and maybe his new girlfriend. Been trying to get him into fishing. He is open to ocean fishing anyway and we can get out mid-week which should make getting a charter easier. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks, Brian
