Today Cathy Brochu caught a beautiful landlock while we fished salmon offshore. 18 lbs beautiful!!!! And it was done on a 600 custom copper rig. We did a few Kings and a Steelies on our morning trip. Fishing for salmon is heating up. 150-180 has some fish but they are deep that should change due to the current and forecast wind. We fished 350-400 straight out from the little salmon. 110-130 riggers 325-350 divers 500-600 coppers Green dolphin flashers, Chrome, Green pro-trolls and TG flys on everything except 1 blue glow on a chrome flasher. It will improve over the coming days. From Fair Haven to the north dune salmon are being caught The inside water is warm deep. The offshore water is more stable. North its colder in closer. Way to go Bigfish. will you be posting a picture of the 18 lb Atlantic. just want to see what one of those beauties looks like. Are they hitting flys the same size as the ones used for Kings?

Here is a picture. It was reported to be pushing 18#s . But I am unaware of it be weighed on certified scales. But what a great fish. Congratulations to Kathy and Captain Pat of Redline Charters. Anybody know what the state record is for a Atlantic landlocked from lake Ontario? I thought it was over 20#s? But the fish keep getting better and better. Capt. Tony www.anbradoncharters.com

Yeh Tony Inow your into details. We caught one a few years ago 22.8 Thats at home on the wall. State record was caught on the west end of the lake a few years bac in the spring and weighed 24.15 There are alot of them around right now. I have heard of several caught recently up to 20 lbs. The upper part of the river has a bunch in it. I am really suprised no one has broke the record this year.
Same flys
