The bite is on is an understatement! We ended up 6 for 11 (limit) with a pair of 28 pounders the largest, 18 pounds the small one. Fished the 160 line down 85 on the riggers, 220-275 on wire dipseys and 450 ft copper. One big boy took my flasher/meat rig and MC Rocket with him, noticed lots of abrasion on the 8ft leader when we reeled the line in, not sure what happened. Lost a major close to the boat when the hook on a mag spoon bent, never saw the fish but Jim fought it long and hard on the 450 copper rig before it let go. The copper with J plug took a 24 pound fish, SD with Spook fly on the dipsey took one fish. The other fish/hits on meat rigs. Quite a few boats in on the 100 foot line, we stayed outside the pack and did pretty well. Most people we spoke with did some fish. A friend in Fairhaven took 3 nice kings. Sounded like just north of the Salmon River was very productive. Can't wait to get back out there!
See you on the pond!
