my boys buck and my uncle shot a four pointer a few hours later after helping us drag out my sons. Here is the story for those of you who missed it on the other thread. Found a real nice track before light and took it when we could see and off we went. after a short track job with me following my son coaching him. I spotted a doe off to our left and we froze. Nick got into possition and we watched the doe for a good ten minutes when mr buck made and apearance. After getting a good luck at his head gear there was no question it was a shooter. He picked a spot and pulled the trigger and down he went. 100 yrds or so and we were on him and he put another one in him and my son had his first Vt rifle buck. A nice heavy horned 8pt 160lbs. I am so proud of him. Here is some a game cam video of the buck my son shot. And here is a pic of the buck I got opening day. 4pt 155lb

Nice story & nice pictures. You boys are doing well. That left horn looks a little funky on your Uncle's buck. Did he shoot it? I will have to tease him. Jerry

Perchman
Just to let you and others who don't know, Ben (Buckshot) was killed in a tragic hunting accident Saturday Nov. 26. Most folks know Ben on this forum as a consummate hunter, fisherman and family man.
If you goggle Ben Birch , Readsboro you can find articles on what happened on this unbelievable and very sad day.

What a terrible tradgety! For all of you other hunters out there, please wear blaze orange or the camo pattern of blaze orange. It is definately worth it. Jim
