Will a chartreuse color frog work? Or is brown black better?
I am looking for specifically champlain lake.....

Either color can work well with the right presentation. Frogs, as well as a ton of other plastic baits can be very effective. Largemouth and smallmouth bass love them.

Good idea to have a few colors. White, black, green are standbys. The reddish brown color is supposed to be good though I haven't tried it yet. Think it is more the motion and where you throw it makes the most difference. I've found when the frog bite is on, color doesn't seem to matter much. Here is a picture from last October where we caught twin 5.3 lb on two different colors and type of frogs. That day was all about presentation, not color.

For you bass guys, last years FLW tournament is posted on facebook and maybe their sight free to watch on-line. Guy who came in 2nd did a lot of frogging in front of the fort around the delta. Another guy was smacking them in one of my favorite spots.
