The area recieved some rain which prompted the salmon to move good up local tribs and of course the salmon and oswego and black rivers. Nows the time for a trip west. Steelhead mixed in but no real big push yet 2 weeks should start gettin better but temp needs to fall some.

Start a 12 day vacation Saturday morning - hoping to make a couple trips out and maybe more if there is a real hard rain to bring up the water levels in a couple smaller creeks I know about.

Just returned from the Salmon river yesterday afternoon. Good amount of fish in the deeper pools. Ended up having on close to 100 fish in 3 days, landing many kings and one bonus Skamanian Steely!!! Awesome fish. They are out there, just gotta find them. I found that when the fishing pressure was high to hit the pockets of slow water next to the deep pools. Fish would stack up there where nobody was bothering them. Lots of fish between 15-25 lbs with the occasioal one over 30! The steely was 30 inches and 10 lbs Attachments:
